Carey Hart Credits Pink After Gruesome Motocross Injury

Carey Hart thanks his wife, Pink, after a scary motocross accident leaves him with a severe injury, severing his small intestine. He shared details on Instagram, lightening the mood with jokes while acknowledging his friends’ support. This isn’t his first challenge during filming, as he previously withdrew from a show due to injury. Hart reflects on his mishap learned a lesson about focus, and it provides a window into his family life with Pink and their children.
Carey Hart, the motocross star and off-road truck racer, took to Instagram recently to thank his famous wife, Pink, after suffering a rather gruesome injury. Believe it or not, he managed to “sever [his] small intestine from his colon” during training. Talk about getting a bit too carried away, right? Hart shared the news on May 17, revealing he had a nasty fall while practicing and took a hit to the gut from his handlebars. Luckily, he says, “I’m fine and will recover from this.”
He didn’t hold back on sharing the gory details either, posting a few images that show a bandage running from above his navel to his lower belly. Quite the sight! Shout-out to his pal, musician Big B, for getting him to the ER after the crash, because, let’s face it, that probably wasn’t his best idea of the day.
Hart made sure to turn the focus back on Pink, saying, “A huge thanks to @pink. She always takes charge at the hospital. Sorry to put you through this, yet again!” If there’s a woman who can handle chaos, it’s definitely Pink. He also had a friendly little giggle about how he ghosted his friends for a couple of days, responding to all the well-wishes he received.
Hart’s friends didn’t hold back from cracking jokes about his injury either. Trista Sutter from his show “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test” quipped, “Thank God you’re ok! That scar is one for the Carey Hart story book!” While fellow contestant Kyla Pratt chimed in, saying, “Omg Carey, wtf. Be careful, man! Speedy recovery!”
But this isn’t Hart’s first encounter with injury during filming; he previously had to bow out of “Special Forces” this year after slipping on a speed bump during a challenge. I mean, it sounds like he might want to take a break from the mud, right? He shared with Us Weekly that it was a bummer having to tell Pink about his latest mishap. “I FaceTimed her that night… At the moment I got hurt, it was probably around midnight,” he recounted, detailing how it was about 3 AM UK time by the time he got through to her.
When he made the call, you can just imagine her initial panic; he said she was “wide-eyed, like a ghost,” asking if he was alright. Hart described the injury as “so dumb,” as he admitted it was all his fault for not paying attention while doing laps for training.
“I got hurt because I wasn’t paying attention,” he mused. Previous exercises required him to complete just one lap, but he stretched his limits and did two laps instead, resulting in his tumble. If only he had focused a little more, maybe he wouldn’t have found himself in this unfortunate situation!
Let’s hope he’s learned his lesson—at least until the next adrenaline rush beckons! In case you didn’t know, Carey and Pink tied the knot back in January 2007 in Costa Rica, and they’re proud parents of a daughter, Willow Sage, born in 2011, and son, Jameson, born in 2016. Not something you want to explain to the kiddos, huh?
In short, Carey Hart had a serious injury practicing motocross, where he unfortunately severed his small intestine from his colon. Thanks to his quick-thinking friend Big B, he made it to the ER. Hart credited his wife, Pink, for her unwavering support, joking about the chaos his accident brought again into their lives. His friends sent well wishes, while Hart reflected on how being inattentive got him in that tricky situation. It’s a reminder that even stars can’t escape the occasional mishap, but with a caring partner by your side, recovery can be a bit brighter.
