Armie Hammer’s year didn’t quite start off quietly. Oh no, instead he spilled the tea on the scandal that kinda, well, slammed the brakes on his acting career. Hammer, a guest on Your Mom’s House podcast hosted by Christina Pazsitzky and Tom Segura, talked about how the Hollywood scene shunned him after accusations of rape and, you know, some rather bizarre cannibalistic fantasies surfaced. Not exactly the lead role he had in mind, right?

Drawing connections to the chaotic Covid-19 era, Hammer explained how the timing of his scandal might have exaggerated its impact. He said, “The world seemed like it was falling apart, and people were just deeply unhappy with their own lives.” The emergence of his juicy saga, he suggested, became a distraction: “This salacious story comes around… and all of a sudden, everyone’s like, ‘Oh, this is so much more fun to focus on than the fact that I can’t leave my living room.'”

Of course, Hammer didn’t shy away from pointing fingers at the context of his private conversations. He admitted to having some rather, shall we say, peculiar sexual fantasies involving bondage. “I like the idea that you are so completely mine… and like, this possession kinda thing, that’s just fun to talk about,” he chuckled. Interestingly, he believes that if anyone’s late-night texts found their way into the light of day, everyone would be in hot water and branded “disgusting,” even for the most mundane chats.

The actor was candid about his mind state during the fallout, saying he was “in full panic mode.” Amid the backlash from media and public alike, he felt a facade he never truly identified with was suddenly stripped away. “There was… this mask that everyone thought was me… and then when that gets shattered… it’s rough,” he lamented, painting a vivid picture of his reality.

He made quite a splash in the media, confessing, “Dude, there would be articles in The Punjabi Times about how I was a cannibal.
